Keep moving with less knee pain
Knee pain affects runners, tradespeople, parents and retirees alike. In younger patients it is often patellar tendon or kneecap tracking pain; in later years it is more often osteoarthritis, where the joint cartilage thins and the knee becomes stiff, swollen and painful with stairs and walking. Both respond well to a combination of regenerative technology and hands-on care.
Common signs
- Aching or grinding pain with stairs, squatting, kneeling or getting up from a chair
- Morning stiffness that eases with movement, typical of osteoarthritis
- Pain just below the kneecap after running or jumping (patellar tendinopathy)
- Swelling or a knee that feels unstable
How we treat knee pain and arthritis
EMTT Therapy uses high-energy magnetic pulses to stimulate repair in cartilage, bone and soft tissue and is one of the most promising non-invasive options for osteoarthritic knees. Class IV Laser Therapy reduces inflammation and swelling in the joint. Focal Shockwave Therapy treats patellar and quadriceps tendon problems, and Osteopathy improves hip, ankle and knee mechanics so the joint is loaded more evenly.
Our aim is to delay or avoid injections and surgery by reducing pain and keeping the joint strong and mobile.
What to expect
After assessing the knee and the joints above and below it, we combine in-clinic treatment with a simple strength routine. Arthritis is managed over a course of sessions, often with maintenance visits; tendon problems typically settle within several weeks.
