Non-invasive relief for arthritis, back pain and chronic inflammation
Extracorporeal magnetotransduction therapy, or EMTT, is a non-invasive treatment for chronic pain, joint mobility and healing. It uses high-frequency magnetic pulses to stimulate tissue, reactivate cells and support the body’s natural repair processes, without surgery, needles or medication.
Compared with traditional electromagnetic therapies, EMTT reaches deeper tissue and delivers more energy per session. We use Storz Medical technology, and the treatment is often combined with shockwave, osteopathy or laser therapy for a complete plan.
How EMTT works
A treatment coil is positioned near the painful area and the magnetic pulses pass painlessly through clothing and tissue. The energy boosts cellular activity, circulation and regeneration, calming inflammation and encouraging damaged tissue to repair. Most people feel only a mild warming or tingling sensation.
Relief is often noticeable within the first few visits, and most treatment plans include 6 to 8 sessions.
EMTT is especially helpful for degenerative joint conditions and for pain linked to autoimmune flare-ups, where other options may be limited.
Conditions we treat
EMTT is used for:
- Osteoarthritis of the knees, hips, shoulders and hands
- Chronic low back and neck pain
- Disc herniation, bulging discs and nerve root irritation
- Spondyloarthritis and spinal joint inflammation
- Muscle tightness, soft tissue injuries and athletic overuse
- Autoimmune-related pain and inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus
What to expect
Sessions last 5 to 20 minutes and you stay fully clothed. There is no downtime, and any mild soreness or fatigue afterwards is temporary. EMTT is not suitable for people with pacemakers or other electronic implants, or during pregnancy; we review your history at your first visit to make sure it is right for you.
